| The 2012 reunion will be held at the Holiday Inn Riverwalk, San Antonio, Texas. The room rate for a standard room is $93.00 per night plus tax. You have two room types to choose from, a room with a king bed and sleep sofa, or a room with two double beds. The room rate is good for three days prior to and after the official dates of June 13th - June 17th, 2012. The hotel cancellation policy is 24 hours before check-in. Reservations made after May 14th, 2012 will be provided on a space available basis at the hotel's current selling rate. Please make your reservations before May 14th, 2012. The Holiday Inn Riverwalk is a full-service hotel and we will be having our Saturday evening banquet at the hotel. The San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is eight miles from the hotel, and is about an $18.00 cab fare. The hotel has lowered its self- parking rate from its normal rate of $18.00 a day to $6.00 for the four official reunion days. Our group price for the all- american breakfast is $10.00 PP which includes tax and tip. |

Historic Center as well as the History Walk of the Pacific War and the

| Early Arrival Activities For those of you who will be arriving Tuesday or sooner, Pat and Laura Conley will be hosting a Texas BBQ at their home in Boerne, TX, about an hour from San Antonio. Pat & Laura will provide all the food, soft drinks, tea and lemonade. BYOB. Please let me know if you will be attending the Conley BBQ as soon as possible in order to maintain a head count to help the Conley's prepare the correct amount of food and soft drinks. |

| You May Make Your Reservation Now You can make your reservation two ways. You can call the hotel, 1-210-224-2500 and tell them you're making a reservation for the 71st Transportation Battalion Vietnam Veterans reunion. If you are staying longer than the 4 reunion days, you should call to make your reservation. Remember when booking your tour(s), the Grand Tour is Thursday, June 14th, and the Hill Country Tour is Friday, June 15th. If you call to book your tour(s), be sure to tell them you are with the 71st Transportation Battalion Reunion and the correct tour names and dates. If you choose to book your tour(s) with the special booking link below, which is a great way to do it, here are some simple instructions. First, if you are booking both tours, you will do them separately. After finishing one, go back to the beginning and book the other one. Print out your reservation confirmation and let me know what tour(s) you will be doing so I can add you to the list. After arriving on the booking page, click on tours, and it will default to The Grand Tour. Then enter the date for the Grand Tour, Thursday, June 14th. Next enter the number of people; it doesn't matter if you choose adult or senior, the price will be the same. Click continue, look over the info and make sure it's correct. If you need to make a change, use your browser back button and make your corrections. Click continue and and enter your name and credit card info. When finished, if you are doing the Hill Country Tour, click on "New Reservation" at the bottom of the page which will take you back to the beginning where you will use the drop down menu to click on the Hill Country Tour, then enter the date, Friday, June 15th, the number of people and continue as you did on the first booking. | Wednesday, June 13th at 4:00 pm, the hospitality room (2215) will be open with snacks and refreshments including beer, wine and mixed drinks. We invite everyone to join us for a sign-in and welcome reception. Remember to bring all your photos and memorabilia. As always, the hospitality room will be open the four official reunion days with drinks and snacks. |
| Friday evening we will have our raffle and auction. Please bring anything you may want to raffle or for the silent auction. This has been a great help rasing funds for the reunion and website. |
| The Saturday evening banquet will start with cocktails from 6:30-8:00 PM with dinner served at 8 PM. The price of the banquet is $50.00 Per Person, which includes cash bar setup, bartender, portion of DJ, service charge and all state taxes. Dinner Menu |
