My name is Ronald Chavez. I was with the 154th Transportation Company, 71st Transportation Battalion from May 1968 to May 1969. I spent most of my time around Camp Camelot as one of the mess cooks. I did spend one night at Newport Terminal pulling guard duty on one of the APCs. Won't forget that night.
